RTFTRTR | The Ride to Forget The Ride To Remember
Long ago in BBSC lore, there existed a trip, shall we say a "Ride to Remember". It was so unbearable to remember that the following trip was a trip to forget that "Ride to Remember". Thus began the annual trip of RTFTRTR for all intrepid Bees members. Every summer we choose a new destination to enjoy exploring on two wheels and best of all, with good friends. If you're ever curious about that first Ride to Remember, be sure to ask Dave Hurtado. It's worth the listen.

Escalante has limited options, I recommend booking sooner than later. Check out the BBSC! Facebook page for club chatter on reservations.Â
*Emily will be staying at Super 8 Wyndham Richfield, first and last nights; then at Circle of Destination the second night.
Drive or Ride to Richfield? That's up to you! Some will trailer or hitch haul their ride down to Richfield since we will stay there the first and last night's. Most hotels in the area will be fine with you leaving your vehicle there until you return back.
Because of how close the starting and ending point of the trip is, Emily plans to ride from Lehi to Richfield. It's approximately 131 miles/2.5 hours of riding, which is also the daily average of riding this trip.
How much riding are we doing? This is a loop trip and we'll be riding 130-138 miles per day with many breaks in between for the sites.
Will there be a "sag wagon"? To be continued on that. We might have one to help move an overnight bag or luggage along the way.
What if my scooter is only a 125cc or it's a little on the slower side? We are on one of the most beautiful highways in the U.S. landspeed records are not the goal here. Top speeds should peak around 55mph on most of the roads we're on. We also will go the pace of all our riders.
You mentioned hot springs? Yep! Mystic Hot Springs is nearby in Monroe. We can plan on riding down there for a nice end of the night dip.
Will it be hot? Yes, we'll see some temperature swings throughout the ride. At the lower elevations around Torrey and Escalante, you can expect hotter temperatures. We'll also be rising in elevation at Boulder so it can be a little brisk in the evenings. We will be taking plenty of rest stops through out the ride but you will want to best prepare with plenty of sunscreen and proper covering while riding. Hydration is VERY important so be sure you have 1-2 water water bottles. You will want to drink plenty throughout the day. There will be gas stations and restaurants along the way so it will give you plenty of opportunities to refill too.
I can't help but notice you're going through Antimony... Yeah, about that. We're stopping for pie. It's tradition.
